Ecological Land Management

In order to ensure that the Co-operative's sites are being managed ecologically, lessees will be required to adhere to a management plan. The plan sets out how the site will be managed, in detail, across all its aspects, from landscape and ecosystems through the nature of agriculture on the site, to other critical sustainability issues such as resource use, transport and education.

The management plan offers a guarantee to the Council and other stakeholders that the site will achieve its ambitions.

The plan as a whole requires annual monoitoring against targets and an annual action plan for any works necessary. The plan will also be reviewed every five years.
